Messi’s reaction to Ronaldo’s Champion’s League exit

Ajax makes their way through UCL semis by knocking out Juventus in the Quarterfinals last night. Ajax came out as a strong side in the second leg while the first leg score being 1-1 at their home.

Juventus were left out of the competition after 3-2 aggregate score after the second leg. Ronaldo’s exit from the UCL is quite harsh as he has failed to reach the semis for the first time since 2010.

Ronaldo was seen a bit off on field after the match because of the loss.
Donny van de Beek and Matthijs de Ligt put their names on the scoreboard and led the Dutch to victory.

Messi came to know about Juventus’ exit later to which he said, “That tells you everything [about the competition]”

“Any team is complicated, be it Liverpool or Porto [who Barcelona will face in the last four].”

“There are those who deserve, the best, and everything is going to be complicated.”

On the other hand, Messi led Barcelona to last four in UCL after a masterclass performance vs Man United at Camp Nou.

Messi scored 2 in the first half itself of the second leg and Coutinho making it 3 with a screamer leading Barca to a 4-0 aggregate win.

Messi now has 45 goals in his name this season and scored 24 versus English opposition in Champions League.

Barcelona are still fighting on three fronts this term. They’ve pretty much wrapped up La Liga and they’re in the final of the Copa del Rey, with Liverpool the team they must beat to reach the Champions League final.

Will the Catalan giants complete the treble?
